Electric Lime Photography bio picture
  • Hello, thank you for stopping by! The content on this page is my pride and joy, my true passion.

I am a bit of a camera obsessed individual, a true photography nerd. It isn't often I go anywhere without my camera. While digital photography is my meat and potatoes, I still like to dabble in film photography and other fun experimental cameras in my free time.

I'm not just a photographer...I'm also a mom, dog owner, and wife. My heart resides in my home with my family. I truly believe my family is what keeps me centered, happy, and driven. I love to watch my daughter light up when her dad gets home and watch her as she continues to grow and learn.

In other news I also love a good cup of strong coffee, in fact I might even be classified as a coffee snob. I also love red wine, farmers markets, Etsy, and Baby Gap.

My current favorite verse that I try to strive for on a daily basis...
    Always be joyful.
    1 Thessalonians 5:16

Little Doctor

When this mom e-mailed me to tell me she was expecting and wanted maternity photos I was so excited. I love this family, and their daughter is sweet as can be, not to mention completely adorable.  This mom makes pregnancy look good! I love that they brought their fetal doppler monitor with so Alexa got to play not only big sister but little doctor as well. I can’t wait to meet their new bundle soon!

Caitlin - These are beautiful. I love the double kiss one!

Cousins

How cute are these two boys? Eighteen month old cousins who will spend their lives growing up together. I can only imagine in the future the stories they’ll tell about hijinks they used to get into at family holidays. Getting two eighteen month olds to sit still in the same place and look in the same direction was certainly one of my biggest challenges yet.  Anyone walking by definitely must have caught quite the scene as five adults did everything in their power (jumping, singing, yelling) to get these two little guys to stay and look.

what if

This morning my alarm clock went off as its usual time. Now let me clarify what my alarm clock sounds like. It sounds like exactly what it is. A squwaking toddler alerting me to the fact that she is indeed awake and will squwak until I come to retrieve her. I laid in bed thinking about the usual routine that would happen.

Turn the light on in my daughter’s room and say good morning. Run down to let the dogs out while my daughter yells at me for leaving her. Run back upstairs get her out of her crib. Let the dogs in. Feed the dogs. Try to decipher what my toddler wants for breakfast between head nods and yells of frustration. Throw my hair back, wash my face, get in my gym clothes, quickly dress my toddler (which isn’t really quick) and rush out the door to the gym. Then I thought what if we just go to the gym later today.

What if I sit on the couch and enjoy my coffee. Enjoy watching my daugther play for awhile instead of scurrying her out the door with me. Because we have years and years ahead of us of rushed mornings and routines. Right now she’s little and full of curiousity and mischief and I want to soak in as much of it as I can. So it’s okay to alter the routine for a day.

Alter it we did. We took our time. I actually enjoyed my coffee. My daughter, much to her amazement got to eat her cheerios on our bed. And jump up down on it. And more mischief followed…dumping out the entire box of qtips, followed twenty minutes later by dumping an entire box of cheddar shark crackers on the coffee table. Toddlers are fast, and sneaky. And my dogs are even faster when it comes to crackers being dumped out all over the place. Routine is good for us, but every once in awhile we need to slow down and change it up a bit. A little bit of refrehsment for our souls, minds and bodies.

Britta - I LOVE you, little girl! So adorable, looks like she’s having a blast. Those are moments when it’s all worth it.

Avery is 1!

I hadn’t seen Avery since she was six months old. I was so excited to see her. When her parents took her out of the car I think I might have squealed in delight to see that she now had a full head of beautiful bright red hair! She was so much fun to photograph and made me realize I really adore one year olds. This family is so sweet and I can just tell they love their little girl so much. Avery started walking at ten months, yes ten months! This girl is going places…and as you can see below she’s also a champion cake smasher. She sure is one beautiful little lady.

Happy Easter!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
